Thermal Stability: The melting point of the HCl form is high, usually between 154°C and 160°C. It is resistant to spontaneous oxidation and chemically stable at room temperature in dry conditions.
Hygroscopicity: Shows mild hygroscopic tendencies, however when kept in hermetically sealed containers, it is stable.
Solubility: It dissolves readily in methanol and water. The pH range of 4.0 to 6.0 is where aqueous solutions show the best chemical stability.
Photosensitivity: To avoid possible trace degradation during long-term storage, it is advised to shield the solid state from light, even if it is rather stable.
